The weekly musical roundup is back after a short break— and worth the wait! As a global collaboration between all of The Hoffman Agency’s offices around the world, the HA Jamz project is international by nature; over the past few weeks though, we’ve gotten an even more eclectic sampling of ear candy.

Chiharu Tanaka, Associate Account Director at HA Japan, recalls how her favorite band brought her to her one true love:
I have been a fan of a Japanese pop girl group Perfume for more than 10 years now, so it’s very difficult to choose only one song …
Here’s my story:
I bought a ticket so see them live in France when Perfume was on their first world tour. I wanted to travel somewhere for fun, so I decided to go to France with my friend and attend their concert — but I ended up being too busy to go to France at that time. So, I created a brand-new Twitter account and sold the ticket on Twitter. The person who bought it was some random guy. Now he’s my husband.
Because we met through Perfume, we’ve been to most of their concerts since then. For one concert in New York, we waited outside for like 7 hours on a super cold day in November. Yes, now you know — we are a bit too hard core.
You will also find Perfume in OK Go’s “I WON’T LET YOU DOWN” promotional video. This video was directed by a Japanese creative director and shot in Japan. It’s a one shot video.
My hope is to take my son to their concert when he grows up a bit more!
